 Lesson from Tun Dr.Mahathir bin Mohamad

Strict disiplinarian: He has a strong spiritual when doing something that come out with his efforts. This well attitude had been training by his father, Mohamad from child until adult. It is important to all people who want to achieve success in their fields. It has been proven by, “My father, Mohamad bin Iskandar was a man of unusual character and a strict disciplinarian when it came to education. He ran ultimately taught me to revere learning and knowledge.”

Tolerance and respect: Other than strict is he was tolerance and all people have given some respect to his enthusiastic during his authority until he retired. Ithas proven by the statement, “Through teaching me to be modest, my mother also handed down the values of tolerance and respect. When I became Deputy Prime Minister and Prime Minister I never transferred any member of my staff for badwork, as was usually the practice.” (Mahathir Mohamad)

Welcome to my fourth entry,

     Tun Dr. Mahathir has known as “Bapa Pemodenan Malaysia”  until nowadays. He is the person who held that position in a long year which is 16^th July, 1981 until 31^st October, 2003 compared with the previous prime minister of Malaysia. During his time, he grabbed the greatest achievements which are Asia week magazine because it has named him as among 50 individual who was the most powerful in Asia. He also grabbed in second place in the list of Asia week magazine. Other than that, he was success in controlling economic crisis. His position as the Chief executive Officer (CEO) Malaysia was suitable and accurately with the vision that he planned before. He planned Malaysia from an agriculture country to the industrial country and it has succeed in transforming Malaysia country in the level of development.

Dr. Mahathir has created and published his book to the public

         He was able to manage in a trading because during his teenager, he has an experience to be an entrepreneur at Pekan Rabu, Alor Setar, Kedah. Besides, he launched Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). He thought that the modern technologies (ICT) are very important in the era of modernization. In addition, he launched in built of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil, Litar Antarabangsa Sepang, Formula One, and Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).

   After Mohamad successfully passed in standard four, Penang government accepted him worked as the practical teacher. In 1908, the government invited him in opening English class and it focused towards the royalty and the upper-class-family. Among of them was Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj (The first Malaysia prime minister). Mahathir’s father was a strict person and very emphasize in diciplinary aspect in his life. With these kind of attitude, he did not comfortable by other students especially our first prime minister. He used the cane to punished who were lazy in class. In addition, he also was strict at home and ensure that all his sons had done their homework until finished. Many relatives studied with him and among of them are Tun Syed Ahmad Syed Mahmud Shahabuddin (Minister of Kedah 1967-1978) and Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka V (1984-2004). As the students, they should respect to their teacher despite he had never punished someone who were lazy in study instead he preferred to give advises to them related with their future.   
    As we all know, he had never aimed to be a prime minister. Unfortunately, he did not confident to held this kind of position because he thought that he did not came from Malay origin (mix blood family). Our first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah came from Malay royalty. The next prime minister are Tun Abdul Razak Hussein (1970-1976) and Tun Hussein Onn (1976-1981). They previously were the trained lawyer in London but Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad at that time was a specialist that graduated at University of Malaya in Singapore. That was the second reason why with this kind of position as a doctor had made him to feel not confident to join in political side.

Welcome to my second entry,

Mahathir and his wife, Siti Hasmah bt Mohd Ali

     Hi all, here I would like to talk about his education and family. His father, Mohamad had given the complete educational to his sons since they were childhood. The purpose is to train them to be an independent person and did not depends on others. However, he thought that among his siblings between the boys, he was the most luckier compared to his brothers because his father was given to him the higher level of education. Therefore, he got a specialization and more succeed than other siblings. He started his early school at Sekolah Melayu Seberang Perak at year 1930. Meanwhile, during teenager, he was at Government English School in Alor Setar, Kedah whereby this institution nowadays is known as Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid. He had achieved the senior excellence certificate from Cambridge after finished his education in 1945. In 1947, he gained the Kedah scholarship to continue his study at the King Edward VII College of Medicine in Singapore. He was known by others as an assiduous student and serious in his studies. In 1953, he had graduated in Degree of Medical Certificate from University of Malaya. After that, he started his job as the specialist in Hospital Besar Pulau Pinang. Meanwhile, he also got many offered in Langkawi, Jitra, and Perlis for his services.
       Furthermore, I also want to talk about his family background. During his study, he had closed with the lady whose name is Siti Hasmah bt Mohd Ali (now is his wife) in the same institution and in the same course. This relationship was continuing until both of them were decided to marry in August 1956 after graduated in their course. Moreover, I am amazing with his family because they were blessing with seven children whose name are Marina (Datin Paduka Marina), Mirzan, Melinda, Mokhzani (Datuk Mokhzani), Mukriz (Datuk Mukriz), Maizura, and Mazhar.

Background information of the fourth prime minister of Malaysia. (Sweet memory forever :)

   Assalamualaikum w.b.t and a very good day, welcome to my first entry,

      He is here with his credibility, enthusiast, and maturity in his life. He has well-known since he involved in UMNO party around 1970s. For the briefly introduction, I would like to reveal about my spirit idol whose name is Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad. He was the fourth prime minister of Malaysia. He was born on 10th July 1925 but in his case, his father registered his sons’ birth certificates on December. Therefore, Mahathir’s birthday has known by others on 20th December 1925. He born at Lorong Kilang Ais, Seberang Perak, Alor Setar, Kedah. His mother name was Wan Tempawan Wan Hanapi while hisfather was Mohamad a/l Kutty. His father as an English teacher while his mother as the ustazah (guru mengaji al-Quran). The year he had been the prime minister since 16th July 1981 until 31st October 2003. The duration he held this position is  along 22 years.
